Every year thousands of domestic as well as international tourists visit Pangong Lake and Nubra Valley which is one of the most amazing natural and cultural attractions of Ladakh. Pangong Lake is the most beautiful lake in the world which is known for changing its colours into multiple shades of blue and purple. Situated at a height of almost 4,350m, is the world’s highest saltwater lake. Extending to almost 160km, one-third of the Pangong Lake lies in India and the other two-thirds in China. The beauty of Pangong Tso cannot be described in words. One has to visit this place experience and feel the beauty of the on its own. Nubra Valley the valley of flower is sandwiched between the Karakoram Range and Ladakh Rage. To reach Nubra one has to cross the famous Khardongla Pass. Day wise Itinerary

• 1 : Arrival and rest

  Stay | Leh

  • You will be received by our tour executive and transfer to the pre booked hotel in Leh.
  • Unlike other tourist place in India your body needs a minimum 1 day of acclimatization in Ladakh
  • We recommend you to drink lots of water, just rest and do not do any physical activity.
  • In the evening around 5 o’clock our tour executive will give you a brief about the tour.
  • If health permits you can visit the Shanti stupa in the evening.
  • Dinner will be served in your hotel itself.

• 2 : Leh Local Sightseeing

  Stay | Leh

  • After having breakfast your driver will take you to the famous Thiksay Monastery.
  • Located on a small hill in village Thiksay. The Monastery was built in the 15th Century by Paldan Zangpo. It is one of the largest monasteries in Ladakh and follows the Gelugpa order of Tibetan Buddhism. The main attractions of the monastery are the 3 storey statue of Maitreya (Future Buddha), Assembly Hall and Tara Temple. The monastery is known for its architectural resemblance with famous Potala Palace in Tibet.
  • After Thiksay you will be heading back towards Shey palace which is the ancient capital of Ladakh.
  • The main attraction at Shey is the huge copper gilded statue of Shakyamuni Budhha.
  • You can have your lunch on the way to Sangam and after lunch you can head towards Sangam, Magnetic Hall and Hall of fame.

• 3 : Leh to Nubra

  Stay | Hunder

  • Today is one of the most exciting days of your trip as you will cross the world’s highest road Khardongla pass 18380ft.Pack your bag and get ready for Khardongla. Your permit will be given to you before you leave for Nubra.
  • We recommend you to leave as early as possible today because you will get plenty of time to stop at beautiful locations and get good time to do photography.
  • The view from the top is spectacular. You will get a glimpse of snow-capped mountains of the Karakoram Range and towards your South with see the whole Leh town and the beautiful Stok Range.You should stop at the top of Khardongla for quick photo and a hot tea or maggi at the cafeteria.
  • You are expected to reach Hunder by afternoon and check in to you pre reserved camp.

• 4 : Nubra to Pangong

  Stay | Pangong

  • Today you will be travelling from northern Ladakh to eastern region of Ladakh which is very close to Chinese territory.
  • The distance from Hunder to Pangong is approximately 160 km via Shayok route which will take 5 to 6 hrs with few breaks on the way.
  • Today you will witness another wonder of Ladakh the famous Pangong Lake located at 14271 ft. above sea level.
  • Majority of the lake is occupied by the Chinese in the Aksai Chin region and just the one third of its portion is in Indian Territory.
  • Since the region is part of a conflicted zone between India and China one will find multiple army presence on their way.
  • Your driver will take you to the pre booked fixed camp near the lake.
  • In the evening go for a walk near the lake and take lots of picture. You will witness multiple shades ofthe Lake.

• 5 : Pangong to Leh

  Stay | Leh

  • Pack your bags and get ready to leave for Leh after a good breakfast at the camp. Drive to Leh via Changla pass. It will take 5 to 6 hours on the way you can Hemis Monastery. In the evening spend some time in the vibrant Leh market.
  • Overnight stay at Hotel.

• 6 : Leh to Delhi

  Fly back to Delhi

  • Fly back to Delhi!

Payment Terms & Methods :
* 50% of the payment should be transferred at the time of booking the trip & balance to be paid 15 days before the tour starts.
* Ladakh Tales holds no responsibility for road blocks or flight cancelled or any unforeseen situation happening on tour.
* Child between 5 – 8 yrs will be considered under without bed charges (no bed / extra mattress will be provided) and child above 8 yrs will be considered as extra bed (extra mattress will be provided)

Cancellation & Refund Policy :
* 25% of the total tour cost will be charged if cancelled 15 days before the tour departure date.
* 50% cancellation charges if cancelled 10 days before the tour departure date.
* No cancellation refund will be made if cancelled before 9 days to departure date.
* No refund will be made once the tour starts.
